A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

I believe what’s most interesting about people is what inspires them, what motivates them, and what ignites them. So, perhaps we can start there?

For me, I’ve always been inspired by any and all creative endeavors. As a child, I would retreat to my room for hours and make stringed instruments out of tissue boxes and rubber bands or miniature pies out of bottle caps, felt scraps, and small, blueberry beads. Every day that I get to use my hands and create something tangible is better than a day that I do not.

When I look back, I see I’ve always had a knack for the kitchen. By three or four old, I was making my own sandwiches. By twelve, I was begging my mom to let me make my own birthday cake every year (a tradition I continue to this day). By twenty-something, I was working in the CPG Natural Foods Industry marketing nut butter for Justin’s, diving deeper into recipe development, writing a cookbook, and venturing off to culinary school in NYC to receive the professional training I needed to take my skills to the next level.

I get fired up when I can bring people together around a table and feed them delicious food. My heart swells with the thought of a 12-person dinner party, or even a wine and cheeseboard kind of night with one good friend. Food has an innate ability to connect, calm, fuel, brighten, and enlighten.

But, what’s most important to mention, is that the lifeblood of Prep Creative is being able to take all of these passions, visions, and creative pursuits and apply them to our work. Prep is the embodiment of who I am at the core, and why our motto is “Prep and Make It Happen.” Our goal is to capture the feeling of a long-overdue dinner with friends, the awe-inspiring beauty of a piece of art, and that “you’ve got this” spirit within a recipe or visual. We want to inspire you to tap into your creative side, dance in the kitchen, and set the table for others to join.

Prep and Make it Happen,

Julianna
