FISH.

Things I learned this week:

1) I fabricated my first fish and, like the chicken, I found it oddly satisfying. I feel like a surgeon. Don’t worry, I decided to leave out the photos of fish guts and such. You’re welcome.

2) Brandade is basically mashed potatoes with salt cod whipped in. I was suspicious, but it was delicious.

3) Sesame Crusted Seared Tuna takes about 5 minutes to throw together. So easy. So good.

4) May have found my new calling as an oyster shucker. I’m into it.

5) The strong “beards” you pull off of mussels when cleaning are now being used to engineer medical implants and artificial limbs.

6) Don’t forget to remove the “pen” from the squid. This internal shell feels like a piece of plastic, and I think scientists should find a way to utilize it as a plastic substitute. Who’s going to take this on for me?

7) Grilling is so hot right now.

8) It only takes 30 seconds for that perfect tuna sear.

9) If you didn’t already know, salad is delicious. I will leave you with these photos of said delicious salads.
